Welcome to ATM Safety PIN aka Reverse PIN Web Site.

Anyone who was the victim of a forced ATM withdrawal should contact us for the name of an attorney who now specializes in these cases.

The banking industry always settles before an appellate record can be created because the risk of losing puts the entire industry in jeopardy.

I was interviewed for this report.  According to the FTC, http://ftc.gov/os/2010/05/100504creditcardreport.pdf,  there is no available data on violent crimes associated with the ATM.  This might be true in an abstract sense, but only because you actually have to ask for it.  Thanks to a small change in methodology, police departments are now able, at no cost, to capture all violent crime incidents involving ATMs. All that they required was a master list of ATM addresses in their jurisdiction.  By overlaying the crime codes that normally accompany a forced ATM withdrawal against the list, the crime intel unit (CIU) can capture the data on all murders, abductions, carjackings, home invasions, robberies, rape, and missing persons-foul play suspected in their files.  What this means is that all the murders like Jeffrey Locker (NYC) Eve Carson (Chapel Hill NC) Meredith Emerson (Georgia) Lily Burk, (Los Angeles), where the killer used the victim's ATM card, are now easily discovered by any reporter, litigant, or graduate student working on a thesis.  The ultimate question is "Did the banking industry incorporate these murders as part of their business model?"  The world is about to find out.

Dear Yore Security Bank Customer,

No one likes to think about crime, but a responsible corporation cannot afford to ignore it.  Yore Security Bank is undertaking a new service for all its ATM customers.  Yore Security Bank has recently installed the The SafetyPIN™ System on all its ATMs.  This is a Yore Security Bank exclusive in this region.  Yore Security Bank now has the premier ATM customer security available only to those who use Yore Security Bank ATM cards.

What is the SafetyPIN System?  The SafetyPIN System is the first patented ATM customer security system that relies upon your own PIN to secretly notify the police in the event of a forced withdrawal at an ATM.  Instead of typing in your regular PIN, you type in your SafetyPIN.  The computer recognizes that you have given an alarm and the police are notified.

Here’s how it works:  Because your particular PIN is 3409, your SafetyPIN is the ReversePIN, 9043.  From this point on, whenever you are at a Yore Security Bank ATM, you can secretly call for the police.  That’s it. That’s all you have to remember.  The ATM transaction still proceeds like a perfectly normal transaction.

Eventually, SafetyPIN will become the standard for all ATM networks.  When that day comes, the SafetyPIN logo on an ATM will mean that you are protected by the SafetyPIN System.  Until then, only Yore Security Bank offers this service.

Remember, there’s nothing more for you to do.  You do not need to come in and choose an emergency PIN.  You don’t need to register.  All you have to do is remember how to turn your PIN around backwards.  If you have any questions, please call Yore Security Bank at 1-800-XXX-XXXX.

                                                                                                Signed,

                                                                                                Yore Security Bank

p.s. If you’re wondering about people with PINs like 2442 and 7777, don’t worry.  SafetyPIN System protects them as well with different methods, the Inside-OutPIN and the Plus-1PIN.
